Driven by the goal of working to close the education gap by mobilizing the diaspora and friends of Ethiopia to foster research & mentorship and provide institutional support as necessary, P2P has established a Diaspora Research Advisory Committee. This committee seeks to harness the bountiful research opportunities and resources in the Western world and share the experiences with fellow Ethiopian researchers and educators. Building research capacity at teaching institutions not only helps to raise service standards but also greatly contributes to attracting and retaining bright faculty to academia and medicine. P2P is working to develop systems to promote and support science and research through partner teaching institutions in Ethiopia.
